Outline Your Services or Products

What are you selling and at what price? How does your pricing cover your costs and still leave you with a profit? If the numbers do not add up on paper, they will not add up in reality either.


Map Out Your Finances

What does it cost to run your business each month? What revenue do you need to break even? You do not need an accounting degree, just honesty. Rough numbers written down beat perfect numbers that exist only in your head.


Set Clear Goals

Where do you want to be in six months? In twelve? Goals without a deadline are just wishes. Write them down, put dates on them and review them regularly.


Treat It as a Living Document

Your business plan is not something you write once and file away. It should grow and change as your business does. Revisit it every few months and update it as you learn more about your market, your customers and yourself.
